You can use the Slider Manager to maintain the sliders on your site. You can use the Slider Editor to maintain and edit options for each slider. The Slide Editor (not the same as the Slider Editor) allows you to add and edit the actual slides that make up the slider. In these windows, you can:
Log in to the Admin of your site. If you need help finding the right place to do so, follow the instructions in the Log In article.
Go to Theme Editor>Sliders in the left menu.
Add a New Slider
After accessing the Slider Manager, you can easily add new sliders to your site. The Slider Manager shows your list of sliders as well as the Title, Shortcode, Date and Action Icons for each row.
Click the Add New button at the top of the window.
Type a title for the new slider in the text box where it says Enter Slider Title Here. This title will be how the slider will be listed in the Slider Manager.
The Slider Editor will automatically open. This is where you will edit options for animation, duration and add images and text to your slides.
The first section on the page is Animation Options, this is the animation that will be used to transition from slide to slide. Select a radio button that corresponds to the desired animation.
Use the Slider Duration field to specify the length of time in seconds that each slider will appear.
Add a New Slide
The final section in the Slider Editor is Slides. Here you will create each slide that will appear in your Slider. The list of slides belonging to this Slider will also be listed showing the Title, Background Image and Layer Image for each.
Click the Add New Slide button at the top of the Slides section.
The Slide Editor will open. Enter a Title for your slide. This is a required field, attempting to save the Slide without a Title will result in an error.
Enter the Order. Order must be a number and can be entered like text or hover your mouse over the right side of the field and use the spin control that appears (shown in the image below). Click on the up arrow to increase the number or the down arrow to decrease the number. Order is a required field, attempting to save the Slide without an Order will result in an error.
Click the Add Image button to choose the Background Image of your slide from the Media Center. Learn more about adding images to the Media Center in the Change Images through the Media Center article. The Background Image will be the main image on your slide. If an image has already been added for this slide, the Remove Image button will also be available.
Click the Add Image button to add a Layer Slide Image to your slide. The Layer Slide Image will appear as an overlay image on top of the main image on your slide and will be located in the middle of the slide. If an image has already been added for this slide, the Remove Image button will also be available.
The Layer Slide Image has an associated position specifying where it will appear on the Slide. Select the Right or Left radio button under Layer Image Position to set this option. The overlay image will appear either on the Right or Left of center. It is recommended that you do not use the Center selection at this time.
Add content to your slide in the Layer Slide Content edit box. This content should be entered using HTML format. However, you may enter straight text and after saving, it will automatically be formatted to HTML. You may then choose to add color, headings, line breaks, etc. using HTML. For example, you may enter text as shown in the image below: After saving, the text will automatically be formatted to HTML as shown in this image:
This is how the content will appear on the slide:
You may now choose to add extra HTML formatting to the content as shown below:
This changed the color of the text. This is how the content will now appear on the slide:
Note: This content is meant for short, meaningful text. There is only room for 3 short lines of text, so make it count!
When your changes are complete, click the Save Slide Settings in the lower right corner of the Slide Editor. This will return you to the Slider Editor and you will see your slide listed under Slides.
You may continue to add more Slides, or click the Save button in the lower right corner to Save all changes.
Select View Live Site in the upper right or refresh a currently open page to view your changes.

The shortcode can also be found in the Slider Editor under the slider title, as shown in the image below. The Slider Editor is accessed from the Slider Manager by clicking on the Edit Icon of the desired slide.
