Editing text on existing pages of your site is simple and intuitive. General instructions for editing text can be found in the article Edit Text. This article will focus on the larger number of formatting options available in advanced text boxes. The formatting options are shown in the image below, and are defined from left to right. If you hover over most of the buttons with your mouse, a label will appear. Duplicate buttons will be skipped in this article.
Advanced Text Boxes
Formatting Options
Bold—This button will turn on or off bold formatting on any highlighted text.
Italic—This button will turn on or off italic formatting on any highlighted text.
Strikethrough—This button will turn on or off strikethrough formatting on any highlighted text.
Text Color—This drop-down menu allows you to change the color of any highlighted text. You can choose from the provided colors, or click Custom to choose a color with a color picker, RGB, or HEX code.
Background Color—This drop-down menu allows you to change the color of the background behind any highlighted text. Like the Text Color, you can choose from the provided colors, or click Custom to choose a color with a color picker, RGB, or HEX code.
Insert/Edit Link—This button will open a dialogue box, where you can define the URL, displayed text, title, and target of the link.
Align Left—Text will be aligned with the left margin.
Align Center—Text will be centered.
Align Right—Text will be aligned with the right margin.
Justify—Text will be justified, aligned with both the left and right margins.
Numbered List—This button will format the text as a numbered list.
Bulleted List—This button will format the text as a bulleted list.
Decrease Indent—This button will decrease the indentation of the paragraph.
Increase Indent—This button will increase the indentation of the paragraph.
Clear Formatting—This button will clear formatting from the highlighted text.
Underline—This button will turn on or off underline formatting on any highlighted text.
Special Character—This button will open a menu of special characters that can be added to your text. You can also add special characters not included on this list by copying from other sources and pasting them into the text box. You can use the Clear Formatting button to remove any formatting retained from the other source.
Undo—Click this button to undo your last actions.
Redo—Click this button to redo actions undone with the Undo button.
