Enhancements have been made to the File Download Utility tool to resolve issues encountered when downloading multiple files. This enhancement will be available beginning Saturday, March 7, 2026. If your workstation is shut down at the end of the day, the update will occur automatically when you log into your portal. If your computer is in sleep mode, please restart your computer to enable the automatic update. Uninstalls and activation codes are no longer required! Set the number of records displayed in your "lists" throughout your Client Portal using the new Global Pagination field!! Here are the steps to update the Global Pagination setting: This setting will apply to the following lists in the Client Portals: During the last tax season, some of our offices reported that many clients were submitting multiple separate uploads, each containing a single file. As a result, offices had to download each file individually. We’re excited to share that Phase 1 of an enhancement to address this has been rolled out!! Your office can now select multiple uploads from a client and download them together, saving time and reducing repetitive steps. Using Files from Clients - Files Not Accessed list, select the checkboxes to the left of each upload and click on the Download All button. Important Note: Our programming team is currently focused on several high-priority initiatives. Phase 2 of this enhancement, which will include client comments from the Descriptions field, is planned for a future release. We're excited to announce the launch of the Notes Widget—a simple and effective way to jot down ideas, to-do lists, reminders, or important information while staying focused on your tasks. The Notes widget allows you to create, edit, and organize text notes directly while logged into your Client Portal. The Notes are not shared and apply to the logged-in user. The Notes widget is available to all users and is located on the right vertical panel below the Profile avatar. You can get started by clicking here to view the Online Help article that includes screenshots and step-by-step instructions. The Contacts widget is available to all users and is located on the right vertical panel below the Profile avatar. Click the Contacts widget to open/close the Contacts area. Each VO portal contact type will be identified with the following indicators in the lower right corner of the blue Contact Avatar. Client Client Employee Portal Client Partner/Spouse Staff Upload files Impersonation Edit contact information Initiate or respond to Conversation messages Additionally, all users can add and edit Non-portal contacts—such as the dentist, for example—for those who do not have portal access. Non-portal contacts are private and are only visible to the logged-in user who added them. Non-Portal contacts are easily identified with a Yellow Contact Avatar. Click the Add Contact icon

Global Pagination Setting
The Global Pagination Setting field is located in the lower section of the Basic Info tab of the Office, Client, Staff, Employee, and Partner/Spouse Profile pages. This setting only applies to the logged-in user.
Files from Clients - Multi-Upload Download feature - Phase 1
Please note that any comments entered by the client in the Descriptions field during the upload will not be included in the download during this phase. Be sure to review each upload for any client comments entered in the Descriptions field.

Are you ready to save clicks?!! The Contacts widget provides quick and convenient shortcuts from your Client Portal! A new, simple way to access daily functions in the portal without navigating through multiple screens! Use the Search Filters to easily view Clients, Employees, Staff, Non-Portal, Active, or Inactive contacts. You can also mark frequently used contacts as Favorites so they appear at the top of your Contact list!
Locating the Contact Widget
The prefilled VO portal contacts will include shortcuts and will be available to Office Owners, Partners, and Staff.
Contact Shortcuts
Click the gray three-dot menu button to access time-saving shortcuts! The shortcuts will vary depending on the user type.
Non-Portal Contacts
to create a New Non-Portal Contact.
Click on the Non-Portal contact to edit, delete, or mark the contact as a favorite.
