Lock Processing Year

Use Lock Processing Year to prevent users from making or editing accounting entries for a specific year and all preceding years.

Lock a Processing Year

1. Select Utilities>Maintenance>Lock Processing Year.
   
   
    
2. Enter or select the year you want to lock.
3. Select OK to apply the lock.

Once a year is locked, users will not be able to add, edit, or modify entries for that year or any preceding year.

Tip: Lock the processing year after you have completed the tax return for the year and are ready to prevent further changes.

Important: A locked year can only be unlocked by Support.
