Period Conversion

Period Conversion gives you the ability to move the data in all periods for all years forward or backwards. This is designed primarily for startup clients, who often do not know initially when their fiscal year will be. In this case, you will need to set their file up with some year end and current period information, then change it when that has been decided. This utility is NOT intended to be used when a client changes to or from a C Corp and now has a different year end.

1. Select Utilities>Maintenance>Period Conversion.
   
2. Select the correct Period and Year. 
   
   

   Note: In the screenshot above, the client was originally set up with a calendar year end. To change to a fiscal year with a year end date of 09/30, you need to change period 3 of 2020 to period 6 of the 2019 tax year.

3. Click OK to save the complete the process.
