Summarize Prior Payroll is used to reduce the size of a client file to help speed up processing. Checks may be summarized by quarter or by month. Quarterly payroll tax returns and W-2s may still be reprinted for prior years. Note: 941 Daily Liability and State Daily Liability detail will be lost. Note: The dialog box shown in the following screenshot will open. DO NOT end the task or shut off your computer during this summary. Interrupting this process could corrupt the database.
