Other State Files>WA Paid Leave

Most Washington employers are required to participate in the Washington Paid Family & Medical Leave program. Set the employee portion of the premium as a Local Tax type item. Set the employer portion of the premium up as an Employer Accrual. Gross Wages and Hours by employee must be filed electronically each quarter. This data may be uploaded or entered manually. You can create a file in FCA™ to upload.

1. Select Reports>Electronic Tax Reports>Other State Files>WA Paid Leave.
   
2. Select the Reporting Year.
3. Select the Reporting Quarter.
4. Click OK.
   
5. Click Browse.
   
6. Browse to the desired folder, enter a file name and click Save.
   
   
7. Click Next.
   
   
8. Verify the Total Wages, the Total Hours, and that all employees have Social Security Numbers and click Finish. The following dialog box will open.
   
9. Click OK to close the window.
10. Log in to the Paid Leave Account, complete the return, and upload the file as required.
