Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) codes are used for unemployment reporting purposes as required by several states. This window displays the SOC Codes which have been set up in the program. SOC Codes are initially created in File>Imports>SOC Table. Sort by Description or Code by clicking on the desired column heading. Select Utilities>Maintenance>SOC Table. Add additional codes as desired by entering the new Description(s) and Code(s) at the bottom of the list. Click OK to save your changes. Louisiana and a few other states require that the SOC code is shown for each employee reported on a quarterly unemployment report. Select the appropriate SOC Code on the Employee Tab in Setup>Contacts>Company Contacts.
