Editing text on existing pages of your site is simple and intuitive.
How to Edit Text on Your Site
Log in to the Admin of your site. If you need help finding the right place to do so, follow the instructions in the Log In article.
Both pages and blog posts have text that you can edit.
To edit text on a page, go to Theme Editor>Pages in the left menu, or click the All Pages quick tile on your admin Dashboard.
To edit text on blog posts, go to Theme Editor>Blog Posts in the left menu, or click the Blog Posts quick tile on your admin Dashboard.
In the Page or Post Manager, choose the page or post on your site that you want to edit. Click on the page Title or the Edit icon to open the Editor for that page.
Note: If you are having trouble finding the correct page, first open the page that you wish to edit on your live site. The page title is usually the same as the headline of the page. The path recorded after .com/ in the URL for the page when viewed on the live site will also usually match the page title.
In the Page Editor, the sections should be in the same order as they appear on the live page on your site. If you are editing a blog post, all text edits will be made in the large text box provided, while post date, author, and author description can be edited in the labeled fields below.
If you want to compare the page in the editor to the page on the site, click the green View Live Site button. This will open the page that you are editing in a new tab.
Text appearing on your site can be edited from the text boxes where it is stored. To edit the text, simply click in the box, and make any necessary changes with your keyboard. There are two types of text boxes. The differences between them are as follows:
Simple—this text box is meant to hold a few words or sentences, with any formatting deviations made through HTML.
Advanced—this text box can hold a larger amount of text, with options to format the text in the toolbar at the top of the text box. You can learn more about the features available in the advanced text box in the article Advanced Text Boxes.
When you have finished editing the text for the page, scroll up to the top of the Editor and click the Update button to save your changes.
There are two ways to check that your changes have been saved to your live site:
Click the green View Live Site button (seen in the Publishing Status box next to the Update button, pictured in the screenshot above) to open the newest version of that page.
If you already have the edited page open in another tab, you can refresh that tab to see your changes.
