Dillner's Accounting Tools > section > Basic Site Edits
You can use the Blog Post Manager to maintain the individual blog posts on your site. In this window, you can: To sort blog posts into categories, maintain blog comments, or manage social media sharing from your blog posts, you will need to go to the Blog Options section instead. After accessing the Blog Post Manager, you can easily add new blog posts to your site. Click the green Create button. If you are successful, the Post Editor will open for the new post you just created. If you click outside of the Add New Post box, or click the X in the corner of the box before clicking the Create button, it will close without creating the new post. To edit your new post, follow the instructions in the Edit Text article. Note: New blog posts are created in the Draft status by default and are not visible on your site until they are published. We call the Draft or Published state of the blog post the Publishing Status. When you are ready to publish the post, you will have to do so from the Post Editor. The Post Editor is accessed from the Blog Post Manager and then by clicking the Edit icon under the Action column for the specific post you would like to publish. Change the Publishing Status of the post by choosing the appropriate status from the drop-down menu, which is found under the page Permalink. Click the Update button located on the right of the Editor to save your changes. Notice that the Publish box directly above the Update button reflects the changed value in the Status field. In the Blog Post Manager, you can delete blog posts that have been created on your site. Select the post in the checkbox to the left of the post Title, and then click the Delete icon on the right side of the row under Action. Or simply click the Delete icon on the row of the post you wish to delete. Note: If you select one post, then click the Delete icon in the row of a different post, the post in the row of the Delete icon you clicked will be deleted. You may wish to sort posts by their status. Note: The list will update to show only posts of the status type that you chose. If you have no posts of a particular type, you will not be able to sort posts by that Status, or see that Status in the options at the top of the Blog Post Manager. It will show up when you have posts with that status. If you have a large number of posts on your site, it might be more efficient to find a post by searching for key words in the post Title. You may search All posts, Published posts or Draft posts. Click on the Status options at the top of the page under Posts to select the folder to search. Type a word or phrase of the Title or body that you would like to search for in the Search box. Note: This search function will only search the titles and body of Published or Draft posts. Posts in the Trash folder will not be included in the search, unless you first open the Trash folder and search from there.
