Select Help>Check for Updates to see if there are program, tax table, payroll form, or tax code updates for your program. When you click Check for Updates, the system will first check to see if anyone else has the program open. If someone has the program open, you will receive the following message: All users must be out of the program before you can continue. Once they are, click Retry. If you want to postpone the update, click Abort. If no one else is in the program, it will close automatically and the File Transfer Utility will open. Click Download to download the update file. All necessary files will be included. The following dialog box will open when the download is complete. Close the the File Transfer Utility when the download is complete. Open FCA™ or PBM™ and log in. The following dialog box will open. Click here for further instructions if this dialog box does not open. Click OK to continue with the update process. The program will close again and the following dialog box will open. Click OK. Click Unzip in the following dialog box to apply the update. Click OK on the notification that opens. FCA or PBM will automatically open. If tax tables were updated, the following dialog box will open. Click Yes to install the latest tax tables. Click OK after the tax tables have been updated. Select Help>About Full Contact Accounting or Help>About Professional Manager to verify the program Built date. Select Help>Update Info for detailed information about what was included in an update. If you have already run an update earlier in the day, the dialog box shown below will not open. Make sure that no one has the program (FCA or PBM) open. Browse to the folder where Full Contact Accounting (or Professional Business Manager) is installed. Right-click on the caupdate.exe file and select Run as Administrator from the menu. Continue with the normal update process.
