Peachtree>Chart of Accounts

To Create a File to Import in Full Contact Accounting™

1. Open the file in Peachtree™.
2. Select File>Select Import>Export.
3. Select General Ledger on the left and open the Chart of Accounts List on the right.
   
4. Click the Export button.
5. Select the Fields tab.
6. Click on the Show None button.
7. Check on the Show box for the following fields:
   • General Ledger Account ID
   • Account Description
   • Account Type
   • Inactive
8. Select the Options tab.
   
9. Check the Include Headings box.
10. Click on the button in the Import>Export File box. 
11. Browse to the desired destination folder.
12. Enter the name of the file in the File name field in front of the word "Chart.CSV."
    
13. Click OK.

To Import the Peachtree File into FCA

1. Select File>Imports>Peachtree>Chart of Contacts.
2. All of the accounts will be listed in the import grid as seen below.
   
3. The program will guess at the Classification and Type for each account based on information brought in from Peachtree. However, a different Classification or Type for accounts may be selected using the drop-down list in the respective fields. If another client with a similar Chart of Accounts has been imported into FCA, use the select client button to import the mapping from that client.
4. Click OK when finished.

Note: A "Not Responding" message in the Windows Task Manager does not mean that the program is not working. A dialog box will appear when the process is complete. DO NOT end the task or interrupt the import.
