Creative Solutions>ACS or CSA Payroll Employees

Accounting CS™ (ACS) and Creative Solutions Accounting™ (CSA) are registered trademarks belonging to Thomson Reuters, Inc™.

Employee names, addresses, social security number, default departments, and pay rates can be imported from ACS or CSA payroll. Addresses for Employees imported from ACS only will need to be edited because of format in ACS.

Import Employee Information from ACS 

To import employee information from ACS, create a .txt file from ACS payroll.

Do this for each client.

1. Select Reports.
2. Select Employee List-Detailed from the Report list.
3. Verify that all options are selected as shown in the screenshot below.
4. Click Print Selected.
   
5. Deselect Output to printer.
6. Select Output to file.
7. Select Text File (*.txt)
8. Click OK.
   

Import Employee Information from CSA 

To import employee information from CSA, create a .csv file from CSA payroll.

Do this for each client.

1. Select Utilities>Export.
2. Select Employee Listing from the Report layout drop-down list.
3. Select Options.
   
4. Select all boxes in the Optional information box.
5. Click OK.
   
6. Click on the Change Location button in the File section of the Export screen.
7. Select the desired directory.
8. Change the Name of file to be created via export from ####.ASC to ####.CSV.
9. Select Export.

To Import the .csv or .txt File

Open FCA or PBM.

1. Select File>Imports>Creative Solutions>ACS or CSA Payroll Employees.
2. Browse to the directory containing the .csv file that was created in CSA or .txt file that was created in ACS.
3. Select the desired file and click Open.

A dialog box will appear when the import is complete. A "Not Responding" message in the Windows Task Manager does not mean that the program is not working. DO NOT end the task or interrupt the import.
