Creative Solutions>CBS Vendors (DOS)

Client Bookkeeping Solution™ (CBS) is a registered trademark belonging to Thomson Reuters™.

Vendor numbers, names, addresses, contact information and phone numbers may be imported from Creative Solutions.

To Create a .dif File from CBS

1. Open the client.
2. Select the Payables module.
3. Click Reports in the left menu.
4. Select the Accounts Payable tab.
5. Select the desired Checkbook from the drop-down list.
6. Select Vendor List.
7. Select Print Preview.
8. Click the Export icon.
9. Select Data Interchange Format(DIF) from the drop-down list.
10. Check Same number formats as in report and Same date formats as in report.
11. Click OK.
12. Browse to desired directory and click Save.

To Import Vendors into FCA™

1.  Open the client file.
2. Select File>Imports>Creative Solutions>CBS Vendors(DOS).
3. Browse to the .dif file created in the above steps.
4. Select the desired file and click Open.
   
   A dialog box will open during the import. When the import is complete, a new dialog box will open. A "Not Responding" message in the Windows Task Manager does not mean that the program is not working. A dialog box will open when the process is complete. DO NOT end the task or interrupt the import.
   
   
5. Click Ok to close the dialog box.
