Dillner's Accounting Tools > section > Import Transactions
Transactions can be created from an imported bank or credit card statement to reduce processing time. FCA™ will import transactions from statements downloaded in the .QFX or .QIF format. The date, description, and amount of each transaction will import. You can enter a general ledger account for each transaction with a simple procedure, and edit the description if desired. Note: These transactions are not created with a Contact in the Payee field so there is no 1099 tracking for them. Transactions imported in Write Up>Import Transactions>Bank Activity have payees and are tracked for 1099 purposes. Note: Accounts with a Type of checking are always available. To select a credit card account, the Type in Setup>Accounts must be Accounts Payable. Select Screen Options and set the Include Accounts Payable Type to Yes. This import may also be used to create transactions from a bank statement with numerous debit memos (such as debit card transactions, ACH payments, and EFT payments) which have not been entered previously. After selecting the downloaded file, sort the From statement transactions by Status. Create transactions for the Unmatched transactions.
