The formatting toolbar shown in the screenshot below contains buttons and options which help you format message templates, messages in Conversations, and internal webpages.
Formatting Toolbar
Functions of commonly used buttons Cut—Removes selected text and objects from the document and places them on the computer's clipboard.
Copy—Copies selected text and objects to the clipboard.
Paste—Inserts text or objects on your clipboard into the document at the position of the cursor.
Paste as Plain Text—Allows you to paste text without formatting, such as bold or italic, from the clipboard.
Paste from MS Word—Allows you to paste text and preserve formatting from Microsoft Word®.
Undo—Reverses the last action.
Redo—Restores any actions that have been undone using the Undo button.
Find—Allows you to search for characters, words, or phrases within the document.
Replace—Replace specific characters, words, or phrases with different text.
Select All—Selects all text and objects in the document.
Spell Check—Checks the spelling of text in the document. You may select Enable SCAYT (Spell-Check As You Type) by choosing the option in the drop-down menu.
Image—Use this button to insert an image at the position of your cursor. You may edit the dimensions of the image while uploading.
Table—Insert a table into the document, or create a table from selected text.
Insert Horizontal Line—Allows you to insert a horizontal line in the document.
Emoji—Insert an emoticon into the text.
Select Special Characters—Allows you to insert special characters and symbols.
Page Break—Insert page breaks for printing purposes.
iFrame—Create an inline frame used inside a webpage to load another HTML document inside it. Many third-party websites may provide users with an iframe embed code to insert certain elements on their websites.
Size—Changes the size of selected text. Choose the text size from the drop-down menu.
Format—Allows you to select a style to apply to paragraphs by clicking on the drop-down menu.
Font—Change the font of the selected text. Select the font from the drop-down menu.
Bold—Applies or removes bold formatting on selected text.
Italic—Applies or removes italic formatting on selected text.
Underline—Underlines or removes underline formatting on selected text.
Strikethrough—Causes selected text to appear as though it is crossed out.
Subscript—Selected characters are reduced to half the height of a standard character and printed lower than other text.
Superscript—Selected characters are half the height of a standard character and printed higher than the rest of the text.
Remove Formatting—Allows you to remove all kinds of formatting, such as bold or underline, on selected text.
DIV—A block-level HTML element that can be used to add structure or group content. For example, a webpage might include a navigation menu, article, and advertising. In the HTML code, the three types of content might be separated, by placing each in its own <div> .
Align Left—Aligns selected text and objects to the left margin.
Center—Aligns selected text and objects to the center.
Align Right—Aligns selected text and objects to the right margin.
Justify—Aligns selected text to both the left and right margins.
Text direction from left to right—Keeps the direction of text from left to right. This is the default setting.
Text direction from right to left—Switches the direction of text from right to left.
Text Color—Changes the color of selected text. Choose a color from the drop-down menu.
Background Color—Changes the background color of a selected area. Choose a color from the drop-down menu.
Numbering—Create a numbered list. Use numbered lists to write step-by-step processes, where the order is important. You can add entries to the list using the Enter key and remove them using the Delete key.
Bullets—Create a bulleted list. Use bullets to highlight certain content in a document. You can add entries to the list using the Enter key and remove them using the Delete key.
Decrease Indent—Decreases the indent of the selected paragraph to the previous tab stop.
Increase Indent—Increases the indent of the selected paragraph to the next tab stop.
Block Quote—You set apart a quote from another source by selecting the text area and clicking the block quote button which will indent the text.
Link—Allows you to create a hyperlink for the selected text or edit an existing hyperlink.
Unlink—Removes an existing hyperlink from the selected text.
Anchor—Allows you to create a link to a different text in the same article. This is useful in long articles, as it minimizes manual scrolling and makes navigation easy.
Source—Allows you to access a page's HTML code.
