The Restore function is used to replace a company's entire database with data from a backup (.ext) file.
Select File>Restore. Any file that is currently open will be closed automatically.
Select the desired backup file. It will have the .ext file extension.
A dialog box will open with a suggested file name. This will be the file's name on the hard drive. It will also be the name that appears in the Workspace - Companies tab. If you want the file to have a different name, type that, then click OK.
If the file name already exists, you will be asked if you want to overwrite the existing file or not. Click Yes, to overwrite the existing with the version being restored. Click No, to return to the previous dialog box (shown in the screenshot above).
When the file has been restored successfully, the dialog box shown below will open. Click OK to close this dialog box.
