Many windows have an input grid as shown in the screenshot below. These grids often contain columns that will never be used by a particular business. Qty (Quantity) is one example. It also might be more convenient for individual users to have different arrangements of the columns. To open the Column Configuration window, click on the box in the upper left corner of the grid, pointed out by the blue arrow in the screenshot above. There are three options in the State field for each column which are used as follows: Restore Column—Click to add an X to the box for a Column to restore a column which has been accidentally removed or shrunk to nothing. Columns appear in the grid from left to right in the order listed in the Column Configuration window. To change the order, highlight an item and use the up or down arrows at the top of the window to move the item up or down in the list. Changing the order of columns to match the flow of data from input forms and source documents is often advantageous.
