Dillner's File Download Utility

The Dillner's File Download Utility (FDU) is needed to download multiple files at once.  This utility is available for the Microsoft Windows operating system only.

MAC users must download the files individually.

All offices and clients who download multiple files from the portal should install the FDU. If you use more than one browser, the FDU will automatically install on each browser on your computer.

Downloading and Installing the File Download Utility (FDU)

1. Log into the Client Portal from your accounting office's website.
2. Select Files>Dillner's File Download Utility from the left menu.
   
3. The file will appear at the top-right corner of the page. Open the downloaded file FDU_2.3.5_F.exe.
4. Click Yes to the User Account Control dialog box to allow the file to install the software to your device.
5. A File Download Utility file will pop up momentarily as it runs. No action is needed, as this will bring you to the next step of the installation.
   
   
   
   
6. When the Setup Wizard opens, click the Next button.
   
   
   
   
7. Once the installation is complete, a dialog box will open to indicate that the software has been successfully installed. Click Close to exit.
   
   
   
   
8. Once the software is downloaded and installed, a Congratulations message will open for each browser on your computer. Close each of the browser windows with this message.
   
   

Activating the Dillner's File Download Utility

Once the File Download Utility has been installed, the Activate File Download Utility page will launch when the Download All button is selected for the first time.  Follow the step-by-step instructions.

Locating the File Download Utility on the System Tray

Go to the System tray near the bottom right corner of your monitor. Click the "Show Hidden Icons" arrow. 

Locate the FDU icon.

Reconnecting the File Download Utility (FDU)

This message will display after clicking the Download All button when the File Download Utility (FDU) is disconnected.

To reconnect the FDU,  go to the System tray near the bottom right corner of your monitor and click the "Show Hidden Icons" arrow. 

Locate the FDU icon.

Right-click on the FDU icon and select the Reconnect option.  

Return to the Download Files tile on the Dashboard,  click the link under the Title column, and click the Download All button to proceed with the download of multiple files.

Restoring the FDU icon to the System Tray

There may be an instance where the File Download Utility icon may be missing from the System Tray.  To restore the FDU icon, go to your Desktop files to locate and double-click on the File Download Utility file.

The File Download Utility icon should then display.

FDU Activation Key

If ever prompted for the FDU Activation Key:

• Double-click on the FDU icon from the System Tray.
• Click the blue "Copy" button.
  
• Paste or Ctrl/V in the "Paste Key Here" field.
• Click Save
