Dillner's File Download Utility

The Dillner's File Download Utility (FDU) is required to download multiple files simultaneously.  This utility is only available for the Microsoft Windows operating system. 

MAC users must download the files individually. The File Download Utility does not work on MAC devices.

All offices and clients who download multiple files from the portal should install the FDU. If you use more than one browser, the FDU will automatically install on each browser on your computer.

If clients or offices choose not to install the File Download Utility, each file must be downloaded separately by clicking the Download Icon to the right of the file name.

Important Note:   

To avoid issues during the FDU installation, please temporarily disable any antivirus software that may be running in the background, as it can sometimes interfere with the installation process.

Once the installation is completed, don't forget to re-enable your antivirus software to ensure your system remains protected.

Important Information:  Update for workstations with File Download Utility installed before March 7, 2026:

Enhancements have been made to the File Download Utility tool to resolve issues encountered when downloading multiple files.

This enhancement was released on Saturday, March 7, 2026.

• If your workstation is shut down at the end of the day, the update will occur automatically when you log into your portal.
• If your computer is in sleep mode, please restart your computer to enable the automatic update.

Downloading and Installing the File Download Utility (FDU)

The following section pertains to workstations where the File Download Utility has not been previously installed. 

1. Select Management > Power Tools from the left menu.
   
2. Click the download icon for the File Download Utility.
   
3. To access the file, click on the Downloads icon at the top-right corner of the page.
    
4.  Double-click on the file FDU_3.1.0.exe from your Recent Downloads to begin the installation process.
   
    
5. Click Yes to the User Account Control dialog box to allow the file to install the software on your device.
    
6. A File Download Utility file will pop up momentarily as it runs.  Please wait as this will bring you to the next step of the installation. Do not click anywhere.
   
   
    
7. When the Setup Wizard opens, click the Next button.
   
   
    
8. Once the installation is complete, a dialog box will open to indicate that the software has been successfully installed. Click Close to exit.
   
   
    
9. Once the software is downloaded and installed, a Congratulations message will open for each browser on your computer. Close each of the browser windows with this message.
   
   

Activating the Dillner's File Download Utility

Once the File Download Utility has been installed, the Activate File Download Utility page will launch when the Download All button is selected for the first time.  Proceed with the step-by-step instructions below.

1. Go to the System tray near the bottom right corner of your monitor. Click the "Show Hidden Icons" arrow.
   
   
    
2. Locate the FDU icon.
   
   
    
3. Double-click on the FDU icon in the System Tray.
   
   
    
4. Click the blue "Copy" button once.
   
   
    
5. Place your cursor (click) in the "Paste Key Here" field. Paste the Key code by using a right-click and selecting Paste from the menu, or use the Ctrl/V shortcut.
   
   
    
6. Click Save.
