Click on the Download Files quick tile from your Dashboard.
Click the Document Category link (The example shows General Documents).
Note: E-Signature documents will have the Signature Required icon next to the file name.
Click the file name under the Click Title column heading.
Click the Sign button to open the document to sign it. Click the Download button to view or print the original document before signing.
If the Accounting office activated the User Password feature, a display box will appear. Enter the password the Accounting office provided to you in the Password field. Click on the Enter Password button. This is a feature that provides an added layer of security before the signer can access the document. If no password was provided, go to step 8 of this article.
If the Accounting office activated the Text Message verification feature, please verify your phone number will display. Click the Send text message button. This is a feature that provides an added layer of security before the signer can access the document. If text verification was not activated, go to step 8 of this article.
The signer will receive a text message with a verification code. Please verify your phone number will display showing what number the code was sent to. The six-digit code must be entered in the Enter the verification code box. Click on the Verify button.
The blue arrow will guide you through the document. Click the Signature box for signature options.
There are four ways you can add your signature. Select the desired signature method tab at the top of the box. You may change the color of the signature by clicking the colored radio buttons. The example below has the client's name typed.
The four signature options are:
Saved—Enter a previously saved signature.
Type—Type a signature and select the radio button in the box with the desired font.*
Draw—Draw a signature with your mouse or touchscreen.
Upload—Upload a signature.
*Important Note: Do not enter two names (i.e. Mary & John Smith).
If you need to make a change to the signature, click Cancel at the bottom left of the page (see the above image).
To apply your selected signature to the document, click the blue Save & Insert button as displayed in the above image. The blue arrow will guide you to the Finalize button at the top right corner of the signature page.
A window will open, allowing you to confirm your signature. Click the "I agree" checkbox and the Sign button.
If you are the last person to sign the document
The Upload File page will open with the following message at the top of the page: You are almost done! Please click the Continue and Leave Page buttons to return this document to the Accounting Office. The document Title will be prefilled and the document name will be displayed under the File area. The document will be automatically attached.
You may add a description (note) to the office if desired.
Click the green Continue button to send the file to the Accounting Office.
Click the Leave button to proceed with the Upload File. Click the Cancel button to cancel the Upload File. There may be a brief delay before the File Upload Confirmation page appears.
A File Upload Confirmation will open after selecting the Leave button. If you want to download a copy of the signed document, signature log, and any attachments, click the Download File button.
Click the Print button for a print-friendly copy of the ConfirmationPage.
Return the Signed Document to the Accounting Office
If the signed document was NOT uploaded to the Accounting Office at the time of the signature, use the Download Files quick tile on the Dashboard or Files>Download Files from the left menu to access your file.
Click on the document category link. (In this example we chose GeneralDocuments.)
Click the file name under the Click Title column heading.
Click the Send Back button on the second row to proceed with the upload of the signed document to the Accounting Office.
You may add a description (note) to the office, if desired.
Click the green Continue button.
Click the Leave button. There may be a brief delay after clicking the Leave button and before the File Upload Confirmation page appears.
A File Upload Confirmation will open after you have clicked Continue. Click the Print button for a print-friendly page.
View and Download Signed Documents (From the Client Portal)
After all signatures have been completed, the signed document and the signature log can be accessed via the client portal by clicking on the Upload Files Quick Tile on the Dashboard or Files> Upload Files from the left menu.
Click the file name under the Click Title column heading.
Click the Download button to download the signed document and signature log.
