Impersonation – Dillner's Accounting Tools

The Impersonation feature in the VO allows you to see what a client or staff member sees. You may access this feature by clicking the Impersonation icon in the Control Menu, or by going to Management>Clients on the left menu.

Impersonation using the Control Menu

Select the Impersonation icon in the Control Menu.
Click on either the Client or Staff tab to locate the client or staff member you want to impersonate.
You may use the Search field to locate the individual by entering the first few characters of their name.
Click the green Impersonation icon to the right of the client or staff name you are looking to impersonate. This will take you to the login page.

Note: The Impersonation icon will be missing from the Impersonation column if the Master Client Direct Login Pin field is blank on the Office Profile>Login Settings area. Click here to see instructions on the Office Profile.
Enter your Office Master PIN in the provided field of the login page. This field is case-sensitive.
Type the characters displayed in the captcha. This field is not case-sensitive and provides an added layer of security. The refresh button will load a new captcha if necessary.
Click the blue Login button to launch the Dashboard for the client or staff member you are impersonating.

Note: The Direct Login Pin is used as an added layer of security. This is not needed if you are
logging from a static IP address that has been added to our database. If you are using a
bookmark to log in from an unknown IP address, you will need to enter the Direct Login Pin and captcha.

Impersonation Using the Left Menu

Using the left menu, select Management>Clients or Management>Staff and click the green Search button to view the Client or Staff List where the Clients and their employees or your Staff will display. The Impersonation icon will be located under the Action column.
