The Non-Portal File Send and Receive feature allows your office to receive files securely from banks, mortgage companies, or even clients who do not desire or warrant having a Client Portal. To do this, you will use the Generic Portal with unique settings and limited access within your Virtual Office.
Click on Management>Clients from the left menu, then select the Configure Non-Portal File Send/Receive Settings from the Menu icon.
The Company Name is used to identify uploads from the Generic Portal.
The Greeting Name is what the guest will see in the upper right-hand corner when logged in. This field is required.
Home Page Content has two options to select from:
Default Client - This will be the default on the Client's Home Page Content on their Dashboard. This content may be disabled or edited by the user with Web Master rights in your office.
Personal - This content can be specific to one or a group of clients. (i.e. a client has multiple locations such as a restaurant; certain instructions could be outlined for those locations).
Click the Active slider button to make the Generic Portal available to guests from your website. If this field is left unchecked, the Generic Portal will not be available for use by guests.
RECEIVING FILES THROUGH THE GENERIC PORTAL
Enter a User Name and Password in the respective fields. The Guest will use this login information to access the Generic Portal. More than one guest may use these same credentials. Each guest will not see anything from any other guest.
The Send Upload NoticeTo field should contain the email address where the upload notification from the Generic Portal will go.
In the To Office Email Subject field, write a subject for the notification email coming from the guest. If you want the sender's name to appear in the subject line, use the keyword %sendername%. The system replaces the keyword with the sender's name when they enter it on the Upload File page. (i.e. File from %sendername% would display as File from ABC Company in the email subject for the file upload notification email to your office).
The message in the Email Message From Client field will be displayed in the notification email to your office when files are uploaded from a guest. The message may be edited as needed.
SENDING FILES USING THE NON-PORTAL EMAIL SECURE LINK UPLOAD
The To Client Email Subject field allows your office to create a default subject for the notification email that goes to the guest when your office uploads files.
The message entered in the Email Message to Client field will be displayed in the notification email from your office when files are uploaded to a guest. The message may be edited as needed.
Click the green Submit button to save the settings.
