The Virtual Office allows you to receive secure, encrypted files from your clients.
Download Files
Click on the Files from Clients quick tile on the Dashboard or select Files>Download Files from Clients from the left menu to download files uploaded to you by a client.
Files can be accessed from all clients not accessed, all files within the last 30, 60, or 90 days, all files from all clients, or select a specific client in the Clients field. You can also filter search results by Department and/or Title/Filename. Click the green Search button.
The title of the document will appear as a link under the Click Title column heading. Click the link to access the uploaded file(s).
To download a single file, click the Download button.
Once the file has been downloaded, click on the Submit button. Your office will return to the Files from Clients page which automatically refreshes the accessed file with a date and time stamp.
If multiple files have been uploaded by a client, each file is listed separately under the File Name column. Click on the Download button for each file individually, or click on the Download All button. You may need to install the File Download Utility to download multiple files in one click.
Delete Files from Clients
The page shown above gives you the option to delete specific files.
Click the box under the Delete column heading to select the file(s) to delete. You may click the Toggle Select All button to select all files in the section at once. Click the toggle button again to deselect all files.
Click the Delete marked files button.
You may also configure your portal to automatically delete files that are no longer needed by clicking on Files>File Maintenance from the left menu. This is available for staff with Partner-level rights. Click here for File Maintenance instructions.
Change Department
There could be instances where files are uploaded using the wrong department. You may select the correct Department by using the drop-down field and clicking the Submit button.
