Import Information for Employees, Customers, and Vendors from Peachtree into FCA™

To export Customers and Vendors, follow the steps listed below for Payroll Employees; but instead of selecting Payroll, select:

• Accounts Receivable then Customer List for customers
• Accounts Payable then Vendor List for vendors

Payroll Employees

Employee names, addresses, social security numbers, default departments and pay rates can be imported from Peachtree payroll.

To Create a File to Import in Peachtree

1. Select File>Select Import>Export.
2. Select Payroll from the list on the left side of the window.
3. Select Employee List from the list on the right side of the window.
4. Click on the Export icon in the toolbar.
5. Select the Fields tab.
6. Click on the Show All button.
   
7. Select the Options tab.
8. Check the Include Headings box. (The import will not work if this field is not checked.)
9. Click on the  button in the Import/Export File box.
   
10. Browse to the desired destination folder.
11. Enter the name of the file in the File Name field.
12. Click on the Open button.
13. Click on OK to create the export file.
    
     

To Import to the Peachtree File in FCA

1. Select File>Imports>Peachtree>Contacts.
2. Browse to the directory containing the .csv file that was created in Peachtree.
3. Select the desired file and click Open.
4. Check the Employee box.
5. Select appropriate action to take when a duplicate record is found. (Select None if this is the first time importing contacts.)
   
6. Click OK to import.
   
   

   Note: A "Not Responding" message in the Windows Task Manager does not mean that the program is not working. A dialog box will appear when the process is complete. DO NOT end the task or interrupt the import.
