The Guest Request allows Non-Portal users to upload files without setting up a Client Portal. This is useful when receiving files from an organization, such as a bank or mortgage company, or from a client who will be uploading files on a one-time or temporary basis.
Send a Link to the Guest
You may email a link that allows the guest to upload files directly to your office.
Click Files > Guest Request on the Left Menu or use the Guest Request quick tile on the Dashboard.
Enter the First Name, Last Name, and Email Address of the Guest in the appropriate fields.
Enter the message in the email area. The link will be included automatically at the end of the text when the email is sent.
Click Send Request.
The Guest will receive an email that contains a link to attach one or more files. The subject of the email will read: File Upload Link
Important Note: The link generated to the Guest is a single-use link that will expire after one use. You will need to send the guest a new link each time they need to access the portal.
Upload a File to the Accounting Office (As a Guest)
The process for the Guest to upload a file to your office is quick and easy.
The First Name, Last Name, and Email Address fields will be filled automatically.
Enter a Title for the file.
The Description field is optional and can be used for notes or comments.
Enter the characters displayed in the captcha. This field is not case-sensitive and provides an added layer of security. The refresh button will load a new captcha if necessary.
Click in the gray box to browse to the file location and select the files you want to upload or drag and drop the desired files into the same gray box. Multiple files may be uploaded at one time.
Click the blue Submit button at the bottom right corner.
A confirmation message will display once the file has been uploaded. This can be printed by clicking the Print button.
The Accounting office will receive an email notification once the file has been uploaded by the guest.
